This is an opportunity for enthusiasts and stakeholders to share information about the transformative potential ocean thermal can provide to local and international communities. Hawaii Okinawa Clean Energy Workshop (from Feb. 16- 25)
The 12th Hawai’i Okinawa Clean Energy Workshop will take place online from February 16-25 at http://okinawahawaii-oews.com/ This event builds on the ocean energy workshops that have taken place alternately on the islands of Hawaii and Kumejima, home to two OTEC demonstration facilities and DOW parks. Participation in this event is free and open to the public (registration required for access to materials and panel discussion).
Oceans 2022 Chennai
The Oceans 2022 Chennai conference and exposition will take place as a hybrid event February 21-24, 2022 in person and online. “OCEANS is a bi-annual event for global marine researchers, technologists, engineers, students, and policymakers.” This year will include presentations on OTEC.

Malaysia – Japan SATREPS Project Event (Feb. 21)
Malaysia and Japan are cooperating through SATREPS on development of a Hybrid OTEC and “Malaysian Model.” As part of this years-long project, participants from Malaysia take part in training utilizing OTEC facilities in Japan. This year, the training will take place online, including alongside OTEC Week.Tthis training is limited to the project participants
